Neonatal nurses care for and assist new born children who are sick, premature or have birth defects, infections, or structural heart disorders. A Neonatal Nurse will regularly work in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). A Neonatal Nurse's primary responsibilities include: keeping track of infants' vital signs in the NICU, working with families who are having a hard time adjusting to life outside of their mother's womb and premature new borns informing parents of their child's development, ensuring that the baby's equipment is in good functioning order.
