Immunization against diseases like infantile paralysis, tetanus, diphtheria, and respiratory illness saves the lives of roughly 3 million children each year. Immunization also saves millions of lives from crippling illnesses and lifelong disabilities. Globally, approximately 132 million babies need to be immunized annually. To satisfy this need, immunization systems should have adequate resources, trained and actuated employees, and ample vaccine and syringe supplies.
